Having arrived in New York on Saturday and already loving the City, I took a stroll out to Central Park yesterday. It would seem that no matter where I am in the World, if there are homeless people, I will find them and NYC, Central Park Avenue, was no exception. Belated Christmas wishes to everybody and many good hopes and wishes for 2009. "njt"

Former MotoGP star and arch rival of Valentino Rossi, Max Biaggi, who moved over to World Superbikes a couple of years ago, seen here testing a good Italian marque, the Aprilia. Although the lap times were not exceedingly fast and Max did not put in too much track time on Friday, the whole purpose was to test tyres, engine mapping, suspension set up and to generally get a feel for the new bike. Last week saw the return of International Motorcycle racing to South Africa after a lengthy absence. This took the form of World Superbike testing at Kyalami, by 6 of the 7 official factory backed Superbike teams, with several top riders being there. This photograph shows American Ben Spies riding his 1000cc Yamaha (thanks Rich for pointing the error) at around 160kmh (100) mph through turn 5, or as it is better known; Clubhouse. There is certainly no question as to whether he was riding hard or not :) Subsequent to my taking of the photos at the track, some of them were featured on a continent wide satellite TV., motorcycling program last night, via the local sports channel Supersport 2 in conjunction with motorcycling magazine BikeSA. I have had some connection problems the last week and really wanted to get some of these pics up, but anyway, here we go: Following on from my last posting, whilst at the Street racing in Soweto, a whole load of Soweto based bikers and their girls turned up, after having attended the annual charity toy run. So having taken a few nice pics, I will share some with you all, starting with this one of a beautiful "Biker Babe". "njt"

I took this photo of Clare yesterday, whilst she was sat in the cockpit of her V8 Mustang - a 600 horsepower monster of a race car. This was in the pitlane at Kyalami, just prior to Clare taking the car on the track for a test run. I thought that maybe the selective colouring would be a nice idea for a change. "njt"
